First homes completed on latest phase of housing development near Bedford

The first residents have moved into their homes on the latest phase of a new housing development in Biddenham.

Linden Homes, part of Vistry Group, is currently building new one and two-bedroom apartments, along with two, three, four and five-bedroom houses at St Marys, off Bromham Road.

Construction work began on phase two of the development in spring last year, and 19 of the 118 properties are now fully built and occupied, with a further 30 already sold.

The first phase of 129 homes at St Mary’s, which is part of the wider Kings Field neighbourhood, was completed last year.

The wider Kings Field development, planned since 2001, will eventually comprise around 1,300 new homes and is providing a link road connecting the A428 to the A6. As part of Linden Homes’ contribution, it is providing a new primary school, country park and sports pitches.
