Danger: Children warned to stay off building sites

The areas of new homes developments under construction may look like fun and exciting places to play, but David Wilson South Midlands is warning children that they also pose serious dangers.

“Youngsters are often on the lookout for somewhere new and exciting to play, but construction sites are not adventure playgrounds,” said Colin Jones, Construction Director at David Wilson.

“As the school holidays are with us again, it is important to remind children and their parents about the potential dangers of building sites and the need to stay away from them.

David Wilson holds regular safety talks and site visits for schools close to where it is building, to highlight the hazards of playing on or near building sites.

“It’s important to get youngsters thinking about the dangers that exist and hammer home the message that they should stay away,” he added.
