Aragon’s new contractors

The Bedfordshire-based housing association has contracted with Jeakins Weir Ltd and FSG Property Services Ltd to carry out maintenance on the Association’s 6,500 properties.

Bob Hopkins, Assistant Director – Property, said: “Both of these firms are local, small to medium sized companies which offer good customer service, which is of paramount importance to us.

“Their knowledge and hard work will help Aragon to continue to deliver what are already recognised as high standards of customer care.”

Jeakins Weir Ltd started the new contract to carry out Aragon’s responsive repairs and maintenance on 1 June 2012 and FSG Property Services Ltd is now responsible for making sure that Aragon’s empty properties are refurbished and ready to be re-let to new residents.

Aragon has procured both these contracts as part of a joint exercise with Central Bedfordshire Council to secure the best possible value for money for both organisations and also for local residents.

The new contractors will be bringing local skills and expertise to the housing association, as well as more staff, which will benefit all of their customers. Customers will be able to recognise the new contractor’s vans as they will include the Aragon logo alongside their own.
