TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2020 – CHURCH LANE, FLITTON

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Lane, Flitton from outside number 7-15 Church Lane (carriageway and verge).

This temporary closure is required to enable low voltage electricity cables to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be ndicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place over ELEVEN DAYS from 27th April to 7th May 2020. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 27 April 2020 for a period of twelve months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2020 – AMPTHILL TO MAULDEN BYPASS

Notice is hereby given that the Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding a 30mph speed limit along that length of Ampthill to Maulden Bypass from the roundabout for approx. 300m.

This temporary speed limit is required to install a new district meter and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

It is expected that the 30mph speed limit will be in operation from 20th April to 21st May 2020.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 20 April 2020 for a period of twelve months or until the proposed works have been completed whichever is the earlier.
