Marianne Smith and her partner Ryan plan to open Suspendisse The Coffee Shop by the end of the month.

They will offer cooked breakfasts, healthy breakfast options as well as sandwiches, baguettes, homemade soup, jacket potatoes and toasties - our mouths are watering already.

And if you're got a sweet tooth, they'll be homemade cakes too - as well as gluten free and vegan options.

"We are opening it because it's what I love doing and we can combine the catering within the coffee shop," said Marianne.

"Also, when we moved to Great Barford last year it seemed a lot of the residents were keen on a coffee shop/cafe coming to the village. It is growing with more houses being built soon, so it seemed like a good idea."

Marianne, who used to work in Limes of Bedford, is also planning for the cafe to be plastic-free.

"We are aiming to have no plastic drinks bottles - everything will be glass, cans or cartons," she said.
