Abdul said: "It feels great to win this award, there were hundreds of people there on the night and it was great to be voted the best in the East of England region.

"I met the mayor of Flitwick and the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, they presented the award to me."

Oli Khan, the main founder of BBBF, said: "Restaurants applied for the award and a shortlist was created and then a group of judges made the final decision.

"As an organisation we help Bangladeshi businesses with training, like food hygiene, first aid and health and safety.

"Many businesses we have helped have seen their ratings improve."
