A home made bar in Bedford has made it into the top 15 in a competition to find Britain's Best Home Bar of 2020.

With pubs being closed during lockdown, some people made their lockdown more bearable by making their own home bars.

Games retailer Liberty Games asked the British public to send in photos of their pub-style setup, to be in with the chance of being crowned ‘Britain's Best Home Bar’, as well as winning a year's supply of free beer.

They received over 300 entries from across the UK, Liberty Games have revealed the top 15 entries, which includes Ashley Edwards from Bedford.

He said: ”The bar was originally a plain wooden structure I purchased from a garden centre.

"I was keen to create a space that felt like a high end outdoor terrace bar, similar to what you’d find in London or on your holiday.

"I’ve enjoyed adding accessories to the bar, improving its appeal, and now can’t wait for the restrictions to be relaxed so we can put up the projector and watch the football with friends, beer in hand.”

If you think you have got a better bar than these top 15, you can still enter the competition, click here.

The competition closes on June 30.
