The police's Bedford community team is looking to spread a bit of festive cheer and has teamed up with Father Christmas to deliver some special policing patrols over the next two weeks.
Due to the pandemic and government restrictions, there will be a lot of children in Bedford, who won’t get the opportunity to visit Father Christmas this year.

Inspector Sam Hunt from the Bedford Community team said: “We decided that we would bring Father Christmas to the children of Bedford and what better way of doing this, than inviting him to join our officers on some festive community patrols. So please give us a wave if you see us drive past."
The festive patrols will start on Monday (December 7) and the team will cover the following wards from 4-6pm:
Monday, December 7: Wootton
Tuesday, December 8: Kingsbrook
Wednesday, December 9: Queens Park, Great Denham and Cauldwell
Thursday, December 10: Brickhill
Friday, December 11: De Parys and Putnoe
