Who will be the face of breastfeeding?

YOUNG mums are wanted to enter a competition to find the face of a campaign to champion breastfeeding.

Bedfordshire Community Health Services is looking for young mums to enter the competition. One lucky mother under the age of 25 could win a free celebrity makeover, a new outfit and afternoon tea, as well as a photo shoot with their baby.

They will then be the face of the ‘Model Mum’ campaign across the county.

Health bosses want someone who can show how glamorous breastfeeding can be.

Even though breastfeeding protects mothers from breast cancer in later life, and helps to reduce the risk of eczema, asthma and obesity in children, many young mums do not think it is an option for them.

To enter the competition, fill out the form that is this week’s Times & Citizen and send it, along with a current photo of you and your baby, to Sue Holt, Bedfordshire Community Health Services, Unit 1, Doolittle Mill, Froghall Road, Ampthill, Bedfordshire, MK45 2ND. Alternatively email [email protected]

The competition closing date is September 30.
