Survey: TV doc urges patients to feed back experiences

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men with 37,000 diagnosed with it each year in the UK.

Dr Jones said: “As a GP, I have spoken to many men affected by the disease and I know that for these men and their families the care and support they are given can be as important to them as the outcome of treatment.

“However, I also know that not all men receive the same level of care. This simply must change – all men deserve to get the same quality of care and support regardless of where they live.

“This is why I am urging anyone affected prostate cancer to help The Prostate Cancer Charity tackle this important issue.

“The charity urgently needs to know what your recent experience of prostate cancer care on the NHS was like so that they can develop a set of national standards of quality care that can be used by doctors and patients to ensure men with prostate cancer get the support they need whilst undergoing treatment.

“Please share your views and help shape the future of care for men with prostate cancer by taking part in The Prostate Cancer Charity’s survey.
