Taste the Difference Medjool Dates have been pulled off the shelves at Sainsbury's because of possible contamination with Hepatitis A.

In a statement with the Food Standards Agency, the store said: "These products might be contaminated with Hepatitis A. Symptoms caused by Hepatitis A usually include fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, dark-coloured urine and jaundice (a yellowing of the skin)."

It affects the 200g and 500g packs sizes.

The statement added: "If you have bought these products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund."
