Robinson Pool in Bedford finally set to reopen after Covid closure

Robinson Pools Fitness is set to reopen after months of closure during the pandemic.
The centre will open for group exercise and gym sessions on Wednesday (September 30) and the pool will open on Thursday (October 1).

Hide AdIt will be operate in line with new government guidelines and if you're planning to visit, you'll have to book and pay online, to help track and trace.
Gym users will be asked to arrive ready to work out, ready to go and swimmers with their costumes under their clothes, ready to go.
Fusion Lifestyle - which runs the centre - has been working closely with Bedford Borough Council.
Anthony Cawley, director of operations at Fusion said: “We know our leisure facilities are really important for the health and wellbeing of the local community. We are really pleased that we are able to announce the opening of our facilities in a safe and viable way.”

Hide AdCllr Doug McMurdo, portfolio holder for leisure and culture at Bedford Borough Council said: “We are grateful for the patience shown by those who want to return to our gyms, pools and studios during this difficult period.
“Fusion have also had to make sure facilities abide by the Government guidelines and we understand that things will be different for customers, but by following the regulations that have been put in place, we can ensure that our facilities are as safe as they can possibly be.”
Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance by downloading the Fusion Lifestyle app or visiting the centre website. Bookings will be live later this week.
