WEEKEND UPDATE: Bedfordshire records more than 240 cases

Over the weekend, Bedfordshire recorded 241 new cases, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
Out of that figure, Bedford has 60 new cases, with a total of 12,836 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus; Central Bedfordshire has 70 cases, with a total of 14,882, and Luton has 111 cases, with a new total of 18,526.

Hide AdThere was one death in Bedford (463), four deaths in Luton (472) and three deaths in Central Bedfordshire (547).


Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 29,675 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 73,334 and Milton Keynes has 18,787 cases.
In the UK, as of Sunday, February 21, 17,582,121 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 615,148 had received their second dose.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 4,115,509. The number of deaths is 120,580.
