WEEKEND UPDATE: Bedfordshire records more than 170 Covid cases
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Over the weekend, Bedfordshire recorded 176 new cases, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
Out of that figure, Bedford had 75 new cases, with a total of 14,724 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus; Central Bedfordshire has 42 cases, with a total of 16,530, and Luton has 59 cases, with a new total of 21,242.

Hide AdThere were no deaths in Bedford (485) or Central Bedfordshire (571) - but one in Luton (501).
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 32,162 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 77,998 and Milton Keynes has 20,485 cases.
In the UK, as of Sunday (June 6), 40,333,231 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 27,661,353 had received their second dose.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 4,516,892. The number of deaths is 127,840.
