WEEKEND UPDATE: Bedfordshire records more than 150 Covid cases
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Over the weekend, Bedfordshire recorded 151 new cases, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
Out of that figure, Bedford has 98 new cases, with a total of 14,197 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus; Central Bedfordshire has 39 cases, with a total of 16,243, and Luton has 14 cases, with a new total of 20,901.

Hide AdThere were no deaths in Bedford (485), Luton (499) or Central Bedfordshire (570).


Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,797 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 77,373 and Milton Keynes has 20,263 cases.
In the UK, as of Sunday (May 23), 37,943,681 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 22,643,417 had received their second dose.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 4,462,538. The number of deaths is 127,721.
