WEEKEND UPDATE: Bedfordshire records 150 Covid cases

Over the weekend, Bedfordshire recorded 150 new cases, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Out of that figure, Bedford had 46 new cases, with a total of 15,190 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus; Central Bedfordshire has 50 cases, with a total of 16,895, and Luton has 54 cases, with a new total of 21,681.

There were no deaths in Bedford (482), Central Bedfordshire (571) or Luton (504).

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 32,759 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 79,321 and Milton Keynes has 20,841 cases.

In the UK, as of Sunday (June 20), 42,964,013 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 31,340,507 had received their second dose. ​

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 4,630,040. The number of deaths is 127,976.
