UPDATE: Wednesday's figures record no new cases of coronavirus in Bedford

Central Bedfordshire has 1,345 cases, and Luton has 1,714 cases.

Meanwhile, Hertfordshire has 4,617 and Milton Keynes has 956 cases.

Previous data shared by Public Health England relied solely on Pillar 1 (testing from Public Health England and NHS Hospital Trusts), but as of Thursday, July 2, the information includes Pillar 2 (non-clinical and commercial testing).

It has seen a radical overhaul of how coronavirus infection data is presented across the country, with hundreds of new cases emerging in individual authorities.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 328,846 and the number of deaths is 41,465.

Daily reported COVID deaths are now measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.

The Public Health England COVID-19 dashboard experienced technical difficulties on Wednesday, the data is now available.
