UPDATE: Today's figures show four new cases of coronavirus in Bedford

As of today (19 August) Bedford has recorded four new cases of coronavirus, the total for the borough is now 1,402, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
Central Bedfordshire has three new cases, the total is now 1,321, and Luton has three more cases, the total for the town is now 1,688.

Hide AdMeanwhile, Buckinghamshire has 1,832 cases, Hertfordshire has 4,499 and Milton Keynes has 929 cases.
Previous data shared by Public Health England relied solely on Pillar 1 (testing from Public Health England and NHS Hospital Trusts), but as of Thursday, July 2, the information includes Pillar 2 (non-clinical and commercial testing).
It has seen a radical overhaul of how coronavirus infection data is presented across the country, with hundreds of new cases emerging in individual authorities.
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 321,098 and the number of deaths is 41,397.
