As of today (November 18), Bedford has 18 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 2,928 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In Central Bedfordshire, there were 17 new cases of Covid, with a total of 3,145 while Luton has 52, with a new total of 4,779.

The number of deaths in Bedford has risen by six (187), there was one death in Luton (208) and one death in Central Bedfordshire (247).

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 6,306 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 14,944 and Milton Keynes has 3,068 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 20,051 and now stands at 1,430,341. The number of deaths has risen by 529 to 53,274.
