UPDATE: Seven people test positive for Covid in Bedford

As of today (April 29), Bedford recorded seven new case of coronavirus, with a total of 13,514 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485) or Luton (499) or Central Bedfordshire (571).

Central Bedfordshire has six new Covid cases with a total of 15,981, while Luton recorded 10 with a new total of 20,623.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,577 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 76,846 and Milton Keynes has 20,114 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,445 to 4,414,242. The number of deaths has risen by 22 to 127,502.

As of April 28, in the UK, 34,094,048 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 14,043,961 had received their second dose.
