UPDATE: Over 40 new cases confirmed in Bedford and one more death

As of today (November 19), Bedford has 43 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 2,971 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In Central Bedfordshire, there were 63 new cases of Covid, with a total of 3,208 while Luton has 102, with a new total of 4,881.

The number of deaths in Bedford has risen by two (182), there was one death in Luton (209) and no deaths in Central Bedfordshire (247).

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 6,412 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 15,203 and Milton Keynes has 3,140 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 22,915 and now stands at 1,453,256.

The number of deaths has risen by 501 to 53,775.
