As of today (June 11), Bedford recorded 32 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 14,925 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485) or Luton (501) - and one in Central Bedfordshire (571).

Central Bedfordshire has 26 new Covid cases with a total of 16,675, while Luton recorded 27, with a new total of 21,431.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 32,359 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 78,366 and Milton Keynes has 20,595 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 41,088,485 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 29,165,140 have received their second dose.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 8,125 and now stands at 4,550,944. There were 17 deaths, bringing the total to 127,884.
