As of today (April 19), Bedford recorded seven new case of coronavirus, with a total of 13,438 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485), Central Bedfordshire (569) or Luton (497).

Central Bedfordshire has 10 new Covid cases with a total of 15,903, while Luton recorded 19 with a new total of 20,451.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,379 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 76,532 and Milton Keynes has 20,034 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 32,932,448 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 10,152,039 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,963 and now stands at 4,390,783. The number of deaths has risen by only four to 127,274.
