UPDATE: Only seven people test positive as cases in Bedford continue to fall

As of today (March 1), Bedford has recorded just seven new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 13,033 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
And in a first - there were no deaths in Bedford (475), none in Central Bedfordshire (669), and none in Luton (477).

Hide AdCentral Bedfordshire has 11 new Covid cases with a total of 15,122, while Luton recorded 24 with a new total of 18,905.
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 30,151 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 74,157 and Milton Keynes has 19,125 cases.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
In the UK, as of today, 20,275,451 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 815,816 have received their second dose.

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 5,455 and now stands at 4,182,009. The number of deaths has risen by 104 to 122,953.
