UPDATE: No deaths in Bedford from Covid with only 11 recorded nationally

As of last night (April 25), Bedford now has a new total of 13,474 people diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485), none in Central Bedfordshire (570) and two in Luton (499).

Central Bedfordshire now has a total of 15,939, while Luton has a new total of 20,563.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,514 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 76,711 and Milton Keynes has 20,077 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, 33,666,638 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 12,587,116 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 1,712 and now stands at 4,404,882. The number of deaths has risen by 11 to 127,428.
