UPDATE: Cases in Bedford hit double figures as 18 people test positive for Covid

As of today (April 27), Bedford recorded 18 new case of coronavirus, with a total of 13,499 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There were no deaths in Bedford (485), Central Bedfordshire (570) or Luton (499).

Hide AdCentral Bedfordshire has 16 new Covid cases with a total of 15,967, while Luton recorded 24 with a new total of 20,602.
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,541 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 76,781 and Milton Keynes has 20,105 cases.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
In the UK, as of today, 33,843,580 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 13,201,811 have received their second dose.

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,685 and now stands at 4,409,631. The number of deaths has risen by 17 to 127,451.
