As of today (November 13), Bedford has recorded 41 new cases, with a total of 2,790 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In Central Bedfordshire, there were 60 new cases of Covid, with a total of 3,043 while Luton has 117, with a new total of 4,397.

There have been no new deaths in Bedfordshire, in Bedford there have been 182 deaths, 204 deaths in Luton and Central Bedfordshire has recorded 243 deaths since the start of the pandemic, according to Public Health England.

Earlier today Bedford Borough Council urged residents to take action to drive down infection rates in Bedford. Read full story.Nationally, the death toll has been 'recalculated' by officials. The new count is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid-19.

Previously, people in England who died at any stage following a positive test, regardless of the cause of their death, were counted in the figures.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 6,065 cases, Hertfordshire has 14,324 cases and Milton Keynes has 2,788 cases.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 27,301 and now stands at 1,317,496.

The number of deaths has risen by 376 to 51,304.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

The figures come from the Government website which is available for the public to viewhere.
