As of today (February 9), Bedford has recorded 24 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 12,322 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There were five deaths in Central Bedfordshire (513), three deaths in Bedford (432) and six deaths in Luton (439),.

Hide AdCentral Bedfordshire has 53 new Covid cases with a total of 14,340, while Luton recorded 95 with a new total of 17,685.
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 28,574 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 71,301 and Milton Keynes has 18,187 cases.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
In the UK, as of today, 12,646,486 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 516,392 have received their second dose.

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 12,364 and now stands at 3,972,148. The number of deaths has risen by 1,052 to 113,850.
