As of today (February 3), Bedford has recorded 86 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 11,919 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were five deaths in Luton (419), seven deaths in Central Bedfordshire (486) and three deaths in Bedford (404).

Central Bedfordshire has 68 new Covid cases with a total of 13,934, while Luton recorded 56 with a new total of 17,057.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 27,723 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 69,558 and Milton Keynes has 17,779 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 10,021,471 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 498,962 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 19,202 and now stands at 3,871,825. The number of deaths has risen by 1,322 to 109,335.
