As of today (February 16), Bedford has recorded 46 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 12,646 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were two deaths in Central Bedfordshire (534), six deaths in Luton (464) and the number of deaths in Bedford was revised down by one (453).

Central Bedfordshire has 43 new Covid cases with a total of 14,682, while Luton recorded 67 with a new total of 18,175.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 29,210 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 72,610 and Milton Keynes has 18,545 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 15,576,107 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 546,165 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 10,625 and now stands at 4,058,468. The number of deaths has risen by 799 to 118,195.
