UPDATE: Bedford records 13 new Covid cases for second day running

As of today (June 22), Bedford recorded another 13 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 15,216 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (482), Central Bedfordshire (571) or Luton (504).

Central Bedfordshire has 33 new Covid cases with a total of 16,941, while Luton recorded 26, with a new total of 21,733.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 32,855 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 79,578 and Milton Keynes has 20,892 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Today, there was no vaccination update in England, following an IT glitch reported to the NHS.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 11,625 and now stands at 4,651,988. There were 27 deaths, bringing the total to 128,008.
