UPDATE: Bedford records 113 new coronavirus cases today

As of today (January 21), Bedford has recorded 113 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 10,595 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Central Bedfordshire has 86 new Covid cases with a total of 12,494, while Luton recorded 138 with a new total of 15,204.

There were six deaths recorded in Bedford (331), four deaths in Luton (357) and seven deaths in Central Bedfordshire (418).

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 24,837 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 62,704 and Milton Keynes has 16,120.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 37,892 and now stands at 3,543,646. The number of deaths has risen by 1,290 to 94,580.

In the UK, as of January 20, 4,973,248 people in the UK had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 464,036 had received their second dose. ​

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
