UPDATE: Bedford records 10 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours

As of today (May 4), Bedford recorded 10 new case of coronavirus, with a total of 13,574 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485) Luton (499) or Central Bedfordshire (571).

Central Bedfordshire has eight new Covid cases with a total of 16,023, while Luton recorded 13 with a new total of 20,682.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,633 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 76,970 and Milton Keynes has 20,136 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 1,946 to 4,423,796. The number of deaths has risen by four to 127,543.

As of May 3, in the UK, 34,667,904 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 15,630,007 had received their second dose.
