UPDATE: Bedford has one new confirmed case of coronavirus

Today (June 4) there has been one new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bedford, the total for the borough is 653, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

No new deaths from coronavirus have been recorded at the Bedford Hospital Trust over the past 24 hours, latest official figures show.

NHS England figures show 174 people had died in hospital at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust as of 5pm on Wednesday, June 3, – the same number as on Tuesday and Monday.

In Luton, there are five new cases, with a total of 777. In Central Bedfordshire, there are two new cases, with a total of 653.

In Buckinghamshire, the total is 1,014, Milton Keynes has 510 cases and Hertfordshire has 2,905 cases in total.

The new figures are now recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 281,661. The number of deaths has been recorded as 39,904.
