UPDATE: Bedford has no new cases of coronavirus

Today (June 22), Bedford has recorded no new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, the total for the borough is 776.

There have been no new coronavirus deaths recorded at Bedford Hospital Trust, over the weekend, the latest official figures show.

NHS England figures show 200 people had died in hospital at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust as of 5pm on Sunday, June 21.

In Luton, there are two new cases, the total is now 834. In Central Bedfordshire, there are two new cases, the total number of cases is now 747.

In Buckinghamshire, the total is 1,057, Milton Keynes has 514 cases and Hertfordshire has 2,989 cases in total.

The new figures are now recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 291,409. The number of deaths has been recorded as 41,279.
