UPDATE: Bedford has eight new cases of coronavirus

Today (June 18), Bedford has recorded eight new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 761.

No new deaths from coronavirus have been recorded at the Bedford Hospital Trust over the past 24 hours, latest official figures show.

NHS England figures show 196 people had died in hospital at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust as of 5pm on Wednesday, June 17, – the same number as on Tuesday

In Luton, there are seven new cases, the total is 817. In Central Bedfordshire, there have been nine new cases, the total number of cases is 727.

In Buckinghamshire, the total is 1,047, Milton Keynes has 513 cases and Hertfordshire has 2,964 cases in total.

The new figures are now recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 300,469. The number of deaths has been recorded as 42,288.
