As of today (December 2), Bedford has 46 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 3,352 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There was one death in Bedford (200), two deaths in Luton (220) and one death in Central Bedfordshire (257).
As of today, the town - which had been in the medium tier before lockdown - has now be lumped in with the whole of the county in the 'high' Tier 2 as Luton records over 2,600 more cases than Bedford.

Central Bedfordshire has 52 new Covid cases with a total of 3,663, while Luton recorded 109 with a new total of 5,992.
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 7,645 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 18,052 and Milton Keynes has 3,924 cases.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 16,170 and now stands at 1,659,256. The number of deaths has risen by 648 to 59,699.
