UPDATE: Bedford cases still low with 36 people diagnosed in 24 hours

As of today (February 23), Bedford has recorded 36 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 12,981 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There were two deaths in Central Bedfordshire (550), two deaths in Luton (474) and two in Bedford (466).

Hide AdCentral Bedfordshire has 38 new Covid cases with a total of 14,963, while Luton recorded 60 with a new total of 18,637.
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 29,796 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 73,555 and Milton Keynes has 18,888 cases.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
In the UK, as of today, 17,916,181 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 642,788 have received their second dose.

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 8,489 and now stands at 4,134,639. The number of deaths has risen by 548 to 121,305.
