UPDATE: 30 people test positive for Covid in Bedford

As of today (June 24), Bedford recorded 30 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 15,273 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England

There were no deaths in Bedford (482), one in Central Bedfordshire (572) and none in Luton (504).

Central Bedfordshire has 37 new Covid cases with a total of 17,006, while Luton recorded 32, with a new total of 21,813.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 33,004 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 79,987 and Milton Keynes has 20,943 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately do not include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 16,703 to 4,684,572. The number of deaths has risen by 21 to 128,048.

As of June 23, in the UK, 43,656,327 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 31,908,103 had received their second dose.

And in Bedford, 116,603 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 80,645 had received their second dose.
