UPDATE: 11 people test positive for Covid in Bedford

As of today (April 30), Bedford recorded 11 new case of coronavirus, with a total of 13,525 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485) Luton (499) or Central Bedfordshire (571).

Central Bedfordshire has 16 new Covid cases with a total of 15,997, while Luton recorded seven with a new total of 20,630.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,590 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 76,881 and Milton Keynes has 20,120 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 34,216,087 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 14,532,875 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,381 and now stands at 4,416,623. The number of deaths has risen by 15 to 127,517.
