Hand sanitiser is being used on a daily basis by many people around the world as a way of keeping hands clean during the coronavirus pandemic.
A bottle of sanitiser is handy to keep in your pocket or bag and use after visiting the supermarket or touching door handles.
However, not all hand gel has proven to be safe for children, after a recent spate of cases in Spain where children have been accidentally poisoned by sanitiser.

The Spanish government has said that the number of children in the country treated for accidental poisonings during the Covid-19 pandemic has sharply increased, after a multitude have ingested hand sanitiser.
So far this year, there have been 874 reported incidents from the intoxication of hand gel in Spain, compared to 90 in the previous year, according to the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Science.
However, there are numerous natural hand gels which do not contain alcohol which can be used by children in a safe manner.
