Carers at Steppingley nursing home, Orchard Lawns, were just one of many in the county to benefit from a care package from the Afro GP Herts group.

GP members of the group donated 30 loaves of bread, 120 eggs, 25 pastas per home, a big box of assorted fruits including grapes, apples, bananas, pears and oranges as well as two boxes of chips.

Dr Dayo Kuku, who visited Orchid Lawns Nursing Home with Dr. Kunle Orebiyi, said: "It was an honour to support the care workers at Orchid Lawn Nursing Home.
