Covid update: here's how many new cases were recorded in Bedford today

As of today (March 25), Bedford has recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 13,326 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no new deaths recorded in Bedford (484), no deaths in Central Bedfordshire (567) and one in Luton (492).

Central Bedfordshire has 26 new Covid cases with a total of 15,665, while Luton recorded 48 with a new total of 19,838.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 30,988 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 75,771 and Milton Keynes has 19,749 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 6,187 and now stands at 4,325,315. The number of deaths has risen by 70 to 126,515.

As of March 25, in the UK, 29,316,130 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 3,009,863 had received their second dose.
