Covid update: Bedford records nine cases in 24 hours

As of today (March 30), Bedford has recorded nine new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 13,355 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (484), one death in Central Bedfordshire (568) and none in Luton (495).

Central Bedfordshire has 15 new Covid cases with a total of 15,736, while Luton recorded 36 with a new total of 19,977.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,071 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 75,954 and Milton Keynes has 19,811 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 30,680,948 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 3,838,010 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 4,040 and now stands at 4,341,736. The number of deaths has risen by 56 to 126,670.
