Covid update: Bedford records just six cases today

As of today (March 23), Bedford has recorded just six new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 13,289 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There were no deaths in Bedford (483), no deaths in Central Bedfordshire (567) and none in Luton (490).

Hide AdCentral Bedfordshire has 18 new Covid cases with a total of 15,583, while Luton recorded 40 with a new total of 19,724.
Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 30,883 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 75,582 and Milton Keynes has 19,681 cases.
The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.
In the UK, as of today, 28,327,873 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 2,363,684 have received their second dose.

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 5,379 and now stands at 4,307,304. The number of deaths has risen by just 112 to 126,284.
