Covid-19 update: here's how many new cases were recorded in Bedford in the last 24 hours

As of today (May 13), Bedford recorded 36 new case of coronavirus, with a total of 13,795 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (485) or Luton (499) and one was recorded in Central Bedfordshire (571).

Central Bedfordshire has 20 new Covid cases with a total of 16,109, while Luton recorded just four with a new total of 20,783.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 31,748 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 77,227 and Milton Keynes has 20,219 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,657 to 4,444,631. The number of deaths has risen by 11 to 127,651.

As of May 12, in the UK, 35,906,671 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 18,890,969 had received their second dose.
