Covid-19 latest: No deaths in Bedford for third day running as only four people test positive

As of today (March 16), Bedford has recorded four new cases of coronavirus, with a total of 13,224 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (483), none in Central Bedfordshire (567) and one in Luton (489).

Central Bedfordshire has 15 new Covid cases with a total of 15,434, while Luton recorded 46 with a new total of 19,437.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 30,693 cases of Covid, Hertfordshire has 75,145 and Milton Keynes has 19,543 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 24,839,906 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 1,663,646 have received their second dose. ​

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 5,294 and now stands at 4,268,821. The number of deaths has risen by 110 to 125,690.
