Coronavirus latest: Five new cases confirmed in Bedford

Five new instances of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bedford over the past 24 hours, according to Public Health England.

The total number of cases in the borough now stands at 1,347 (+5).

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 1,270 (+0) cases while Luton's figure stands at 1,562 (+5).

Across the country, there have been 303,181 infections at an increase of 880 over the past 24 hours.

46,119 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, up by 120 since yesterday.
