To mark one year since the first Covid lockdown, children from Lavenders Day Nursery in Bedford dressed up as key workers and superheroes to honour the inspirational people who made a difference during the pandemic.

Pre-schoolers at the day nursery in Bushmead Avenue took part in a range of activities, including role playing as nurses and shop keepers.

Lavenders Day Nursery manager, Jessica D’Arcy, said: “We have had a brilliant time celebrating all the amazing key workers and individuals who have shown such kindness and bravery during the past year.
