Children from Bedford day nursery honour lockdown heroes
They took part in a range of activities to mark a year since first lockdown
To mark one year since the first Covid lockdown, children from Lavenders Day Nursery in Bedford dressed up as key workers and superheroes to honour the inspirational people who made a difference during the pandemic.
Pre-schoolers at the day nursery in Bushmead Avenue took part in a range of activities, including role playing as nurses and shop keepers.
Lavenders Day Nursery manager, Jessica D’Arcy, said: “We have had a brilliant time celebrating all the amazing key workers and individuals who have shown such kindness and bravery during the past year.
"The children’s costumes were fantastic and it was wonderful to shine a spotlight on our wonderful colleagues, who have worked so hard to continue providing an extraordinary service to our nursery families.”
