Bedford Borough Council is reminding people to play their part and stay at home as much as possible as the country enters its first weekend of lockdown.

Mayor Dave Hodgson said: “We have to look towards Wednesday, December 2 - when hopefully this four-week lockdown period will end - and we want Bedford borough to be in a good place, with our pubs, restaurants and shops able to reopen and look forward to a productive and busy Christmas period.

“To make that happen we need everyone to play their part and protect Bedford borough. Remember, please stay at home as much as possible and if you do need to go out - Hands, Face, Space.”
